Percy Weasley

~ “I was a fool! I was an idiot, I was a pompous prat, I was a – a -”
~ “Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron.”
~ “Yes, I was!”

After leaving Hogwarts, Percy’s ambition blinded him to some of the failings of his Ministry bosses – such as spreading fake news, blatant propaganda campaigns or, say, being controlled by Voldemort. You know, just the slight oversights that anybody could make when they’re new to the job.

Tina Goldstein

“Mr. Scamander, do you know anything about the wizarding community in America?”

A self-styled super sleuth and sometime auror, Tina gets embroiled in adventures with Newt Scamander. Tina works in the magical law enforcement branch of MACUSA. Even when she’s suspended from the investigative team, she can’t resist doing a little bit of undercover work of her own…

Jacob Kowalski

“I’m the only one like me.”

Let’s all give a very warm welcome to the first non-magical person to make it on to the blog! Jacob is a No-Maj who has a bit of a history of getting inadvertently swept into the magical world. He’s friendly, big-hearted (and just big), with pie in the sky dreams of opening his own bakery in Brooklyn, NYC.

Queenie Goldstein

“Aw, don’t worry, honey. Most guys think what you was thinking, first time they see me.”

Queenie is the younger of the two Goldstein sisters. Although she works at MACUSA along with Tina, she admits she’s not much of a career girl. Queenie is beautiful, vivacious, and a highly accomplished Legilimens… yes, she knows what you’re thinking.

Newt Scamander

“I’m more of a chaser really.”

Newton “Newt” Scamander is best known as the author of academic textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. A slightly careless, misfit magizoologist, Newt seems an unlikely hero. However a visit to New York City flung him into the heart of an adventure with consequences for the entire international wizarding community.

Teddy & Victoire

“Our Teddy! Teddy Lupin! Snogging our Victoire! Our cousin!”

Teddy, “a lanky half-werewolf with bright blue hair” and “beautiful, blonde” Victoire set tongues wagging when they got together in their teens. It’s hard to tell who was more nosey – Victoire’s younger cousin James or Rita Skeeter in her infamous gossip column. The Weasley/Potter clan remain on tenterhooks to see whether they’ll make it official and Teddy “really will be part of the family”.

James Potter

“Your dad was the best friend I’ve ever had and he was a good person. A lot of people are idiots at fifteen. He grew out of it.”

James Potter was Harry’s father. At Hogwarts he was a talented pupil and gifted Chaser, but also a rebellious trouble maker. James became an Animagus illegally, and created the Marauders map along with his best friends. James fought in the original Order of the Phoenix during the First Wizarding War. He managed to evade Voldemort three times, but was betrayed and killed on 31st October 1981. A monument remains to James and Lily in their hometown of Godric’s Hollow.

Lily Potter

“I don’t imagine anyone who met her wouldn’t have liked her.”

Lily Potter was kind, charming and vivacious. She was the object of both James and Severus Snape’s affections. Lily fought in the Order of the Phoenix during the First Wizarding War. She was a talented witch, and managed to evade Voldemort three times, but was eventually killed trying to protect Harry. Her sacrifice protected Harry for all of his childhood and helped lead to Voldemort’s downfall. A monument remains to Lily and James in their hometown of Godric’s Hollow.

Fleur Delacour

“What do I care how ‘e looks? I am good-looking enough for both of us, I theenk!”

After taking a job at Gringotts to "eemprove 'er Eeenglish", Fleur falls for Bill Weasley. Not only does she risk her life fighting with the Order of the Phoenix, Fleur also has to navigate overprotective in-laws, overcooked British meat and over-long Celestina Warbeck recitals.
